Perhaps this could be a new way of livening up political journalism. The BBC should give it a go.

Where did they get that bike? Surely it's older than the combined age of the two cyclists. It seemed to have a carbide light on the front, with what looked like a dynamo front hub.
The back tyre could have done with a bit of air too.
Boris did his buffoon act very well.

I enjoyed the whole Paxo farewell last night. The tandem segment was quite amusing, Paxo evidently alarmed at the prospect of mixing it with buses, Boris more nonchalant. Favourite bit was when Paxo said the bike hire scheme wasn't even Boris's idea: he totally dodged the question.
