Ladies' shopping nights are back in Evans Cycles stores for a summer tour.

Women’s cycling is gathering speed and we want to make sure we’re supporting new riders as well as those who have been on their bikes for decades.

The events are being supported by Heather Bamforth, the qualified coach behind the Racing Chance foundation, a charity devoted to developing women’s cycle racing. She and other experts will be on hand to provide advice about anything from starting out, your first commutes, learning to ride clipped in, to first steps into racing, and writing a training plan for your events.

Every event will include three short talks, one from a female Evans Cycles colleague who rides frequently, one from a store mechanic, and a final informal talk given by a qualified cycling coach. Each of the experts will be around throughout the evening, answering any questions you have.

    Also discounts, nibbles and fizz.

Edinburgh is the first event, on July 1st, but you have to book in advance on the website.

Think it's 20% off clothes and accessories and 15% off bikes. I believe boys are welcome too if they are accompanied (at least that's what they told me in store)
