Halfords have a flash sale coming up at lunch time. They are also already price matching the carry freedom trailer so if they take another 10% off it may be a good price for anyone looking to get one.

Two schools in a row this week where I've been doing bikeability a kid has turned up on an Apollo (halfords own brand) with the forks on back to front.
The scary thing is that if they miss something that's so bloomin' obvious, what else are they doing wrong that isn't so easy to spot?

Having used their "services" I wouldn't recommend their "mechanics" to anyone and if someone inexperienced was buying a bike there would suggest budgeting for a post purchase sale from a reputable shop. It's not really the mechanics fault that Halfords don't seem to believe in training them.
Having said that for components and other accessories they can sometimes offer surprisingly good deals.

I've also had the "Holy Grail" of forks on back to front doing Bikeability bike checks over several classes - Halfords are not the only culprits, there are a few other bike shops (in Edinburgh) who appear to have managed this! - Bit worrying *
Oh and we've also had a unidirectional tyre on the wrong way too!
* Have also had forks on correct way but brakes binding and gears not working - Parent had rotated handlebars to put in car, and then rotated round the same way again winding the cables round the stem!
Back on topic - I didn't see anything about 10% off - was it already deducted?

I don't know I'm afraid as I didn't make it to the website during the discount window. I received an email from them this morning detailing the offer. It didn't contain a code so I guess it was applied automatically at some point during the transaction.
