I'm not sure if this technically qualifies as irony or not, but it amused me anyway:

A group of people in work are doing a bike ride across Britain challenge for charity. As part of their fundraising they are holding a raffle.

    The prize?

Use of one of the work car parking spaces for a month.

Where I work there was recently a sale of sugary cakes to overweight sedentary office workers in aid of the British Heart Foundation.

That's quite a common one at my work as well!

@Stickman. Please do enter this raffle and win it. You would then have the option of keeping a bicycle in the parking space for a month, which might be an ironic response.

  5. Same here - there's a monthly raffle by our Charity Committee for a ground-floor parking space nearest the door to the main building.

I asked what the prize was for those of us who didn't drive to work - and there wasn't one. They get the space for nothing, so it's a cost-free prize.

Been tempted to enter so I could really hack-off the anti-cyclists by parking my bike in a prime car-parking space, forcing them to have to walk another few feet on their own two legs from car to work :-)
