Hello to all! I'm looking for a bike buddy to cycle around Edinburgh's excellent bike paths for 3 times a week. In order to shake off me wobbly bits uumm body abit south these middle aged days.Anyhoo I'm a fun and good sort with plenty of banter. Oh I forgot to say I mush a husky with me also with a specially attached contraption to me bike so must like dogs. I live in the Cowgate, hope to hear from somebody? Kind Regards, Liz

I'm assuming this is genuine.
Not sure if it's bold or foolish.
Be careful out there.

Blimey, it could only have been you i saw in the meadows (near the tennis courts) a couple of weekends ago with your bike attached to a dog. Thought my eyes were deceiving me!!!

When we used to play WWF at primary school we called this a clothesline
It's very good at taking down an opponent moving in the opposite direction.

@miggy_magic it does worry me that the dog could suddenly veer off at an angle to inspect a strange smelling tree and leave the bike with a 90° turn to topple over

'contraption' - be careful!
I haven't seen this 'device' yet. We need a photo here.

spytfire - it was most bizarre sight. A yellow bike, as i recall, with a bloomin huge dug towing it.
Yes it would be dangerous if the beast was tempted away, for no human could overpower him.laidback - Unfortunately i didn't have my camera with me at the time but I have managed to illustrate how foolhardy such an arrangement is.

ROFLOL

Wow, my first rofl copter, thanks! :-)
Just back from the Meadows again but no sign of the husky dug 'n' bike, alas.Posted 14 years ago # -
So I couldn't sleep and decided to watch a back episode of "Come Dine With Me" on 4OD. (you might find it under Wednesday 15 Dec 2010, S21E43 if you were to look!)
Now it could be a coincidence, but one of the contestants in the Edinburgh week rides to the shop on her bike (on the pavement) with a honking great husky attached to it with a "special contraption".
It's quite amusing in the usual teeth-pullingly excruciating "Come Dine With Me" sort of way.
