I heard second hand that a pensioner was killed while waiting at a bus stop in Bathgate on Saturday. A drivist failed to apply the handbrake in their Range Rover after parking and it rolled into the pensioner.

Could not find any news articles on this after a quick Google to confirm...

The section of road just outside the 'Hooked on Cycling' shop in Bathgate was closed on Saturday, late morning, with loads of Police in attendance.

I was travelling through, via diversion, by car for a visit to Aldi.

There was a large vehicle (not sure it was a Range Rover - looked more like a pickup type thing) skewed at an odd angle across the road, but other than hearing that 'someone had been hit by a car', I didn't hear any more about it.

I'm sure the guys at 'Hooked on Cycling' would know. It was right outside their shop.

Conflicting reports now that she either suffered a broken arm, or died.

    Let's hope it's the former.
