Fun quiz on the BBC website today. Cycling (middle distance) came in at number 3 for me.

For the record, wrestling was 1st followed by judo so if anyone would like a go if they think they are hard enough..? ;-)

And no, I didn't fiddle these results! I suspect it's because I said I had good endurance and preferred working alone.

Either that or it recognised that the link to the test came from a cycling forum!

Athletics (long and middle distance) and triathlon for me, which would be true if I could swim anything but doggy paddle and if I didn't throw up every time I try to run anaerobically.

Correctly identified that rugby is utterly haram for me but....hockey to be avoided at all costs? I used to play in the national league. Not very well. In fact, in retrospect....

Middle distance athletics, triathlon, middle distance cycling. Not gymnastics, shooting or rugby sevens. Sounds about right to me! :-)

Oh yes, it didn't like shooting for me either although I am actually pretty good at it. Lawn bowls and gymnastics were the other two.

    Wrestling for me as well

Hehe. CCEW match at Peter's yard sometime? :-)

Table tennis (I'm quite good at this), squash (not at all good) and badminton (fairly good).

I hate getting water up my nose but it's better than wrestling. What on earth did you answer amir?

It doesn't ask if you're strong. Waste of mouseclicks.

It doesn't ask if you're strong.

It does ask if you're a mouse or a rhino. I think that's a surrogate for strength.

It doesn't ask if you're Frank Vandenbrouke's dog because that's no one else's business.

    It could ask:

Do you regularly eat delicious tainted beef?
Do you have a weird twin blood thing?
Do you have some of the best legal advice known to man?
Are you often out the country when WADA calls?

Triathlon (presumably as there was no "do you hate jogging after either cycling or swimming" question)
Long-distance swimming (correct - did so as a youngster)
Medium-distance swimming (correct - did so as a youngster)

I was particularly bad at judo matches as a youngster due to my pronounced non-aggressiveness, but I liked learning how to fall safely. Unfortunately swimbling was almost ignored at my school, though that made it relatively easy to be the fastest swimmer in school by some margin in sixth form.

    Squash, hockey, rugby 7s.

Reality in order: badminton, pool, cycling, tennis, running, table tennis, triathlon, squash, swimming, football (plus others to a lesser extent).

I did play rugby 7s for a previous global company, but only because I was nippy and was given simple instructions of "run up the line when we give you the ball". Hockey? Never...

Less suited to shooting (not really tried), lawn bowls (would bore the crap out of me), and weightlifting (aye).

Netball, judo, hockey but not gymnastics or shooting

    I do rock at netball.

I did once nearly shoot the instructor in the foot whilst at Morton clay pigeons

(Note only one of the above statements is true)

Netball. I've never played it but after I'd told it how incompetent I was at everything I expect it thought it would be the safest option, in the absence of a sport involving lying down in a darkened room

Just out of interest, putting all the sliders fully left with an age of 70 gives:

    1. Lawn Bowls
    2. Shooting
    3. Athletics

Putting them all fully right and 25 gives:

    1. Rugby Sevens
    2. Hockey
    3. Squash

Triathlon and then different kinds of athletics for me.

It doesn't say how good a match you are, does it? I can almost imagine the computer thinking "well, you're a weedy, uncoordinated, cissy, I can't really offer you much. The closest match is triathlon, but it's not very close. Sorry."

I was in Birmingham at the weekend, where we watched a triathlon. It looked quite hard work.

    Netball.

Makes sense. If you saw me cycle, you'd say, "He's slow, can't climb, can't sprint... has limited stamina. Best sport for him would be one where you don't need speed, strength or stamina... how about netball?"
