Finally some segregated bike infrastructure in Edinburgh!
It's a pity this is only temporarily (and that my presence seems to have upset the stewards):

CityCyclingEdinburgh was launched on the 27th of October 2009 as "an experiment".
IT’S TRUE!
CCE is 15years old!
Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.
RULES No personal insults. No swearing.

Do you have no respect for the authority of men in jeans and hi-viz jackets?
;-)
Interesting that you upset the stewards. I always get waved through with a smile.
This is actually a great place for this, as I usually turn right at the end, and it can be awkward to change lane.

I went through last week when there were a lot less stewards and they half-heartedly tried to stop me. I presume they were a bit more keen last night because the diving is starting today.
CJC, were you sporting a beard, skull cap and long flowing robes while cycling along there? Clearly then the stewards suspected you may be a terrorist. If not, perhaps they were merely upset that you appeared to be 'cheating' in the commuter race.
I have to say the sight of all those single occupant motor vehicles backed up into the park was profoundly depressing. Idiots, the lot of them!
Yes - they will nearly all be single occupant.
I am finding this setup a royal pain (especially I am quite allergic to breaking rules). The car lane is often very congested and if you are wishing to come onto the road from the Innocent Path you are forced back down to the roundabout as right turns are not permitted. The very poor road surface doesn't help. A braver solution might have been to close off the park to motor vehicles.
Oh well it will be over soon.
@amir, in fairness there is a blue car at about 50 secs in that has a front passenger. The rest are all single occupant: even the taxis appear to be without fares in the back!
All that congestion and pollution caused by fewer than 50 people. Motons, all!
