I know that there are one or two Castelli fans out there.

Evans currently have the Gabba in their sale. £89.99 short sleeve or £110.99 Long sleeve. Seems to be a bit of a saving on the normal prices.

Useful for when a Scottish Summer arrives ;)

I feel obliged to inform the comunity that Evens are for ever stealing kaputnik's work without any reference or reward.

I'm bouycotting tham as a result. There are loads of other shops in Edinburgh I'd rather frequent.

XXXXXL Castelli stuff only fits me anyway, and I'm not FB.

Dave, can you expand on your comment please? What are they alleged to have stolen? I am unaware of this.

I think Dave might be referring to the artwork done by Kaputnik.

This would be in reference to a number of posts on the (official) Evans facebook page where pictures are lifted off of sites such as Pinterest, where people have put them without permission or any attribution to the originator, and then used for commercial purposes by Evans (again, without troubling to find out the original creator to give attribution and seek permission) to push people to offers on their web store.

I've had at least 2 examples of this pointed out to me, where some of my pictures have been used to steer people towards related offers / secitons of the Evans webpage. I have put posts to this effect on both of the images in question but really I've better things to be doing in my life right now than giving lectures on IP and fair usage rights to companies who should know better.

If anyone from Evans is reading this - if you see an image online without any source or accreditation on it, it is never fair to assume it is free to use. Unless it's explicitly stated so, assume it is copyright and not suitable for commercial use.

For the record, offending images are here and here. There may be more, there's certainly others from other illustrators I know of and I can only assume their work is being "borrowed" too to pad out the Evans facebook page.

Back O.T. - I have no Castelli kit, never found the Italian stuff compliant with my build.

Kaputnik, thank you for the clarification.

I agree that you should send them an invoice.

They would have benefitted from these in Glasgow today.

I've discovered that Wiggle are now selling a "Castelli Gabba 2", so I'm therefore wondering whether Evans are offloading old stock to be replaced by the updated version?

Not sure whether it's worth the extra money, of course:

For 2014 you get a refined fit for even greater aero performance, improved drainage in the pockets and improved construction of the waistband. Castelli have also added a fresh colour for 2014. Making a stellar product even better!

Well, that would be impressive. Given its "racefit" stretchiness, I'm stuggling to see how my Gabba could be any more aero, short of being so tight it actually crushed my collarbones...

FWIW, black Castelli Gabba 2 jerseys are now in stock on Wiggle, having been out of stock for ages. Get 'em while you can...
