Been living and cycling in Glasgow for 3 years. Now returned to Leith as a much more experienced rider and alarmed/disappointed by much that I see. But also big hopes for whatever they're doing to Leith Walk at the moment: that 100m stretch of new road surface is very nice... if they just keep the cones up so there's no motorised traffic on it we'll be sorted.

Edit: You may see me riding between Leith Walk and Waverley of a morning or evening on a grey Ridgeback hybrid and helmet cam. Say hello!

Its a chance to have a coffee / tea with other forumites before work, so you may put faces to names.

Usually last calender friday before the end of the month.

Ah right! I read "watch out" as in "watch out for that pothole!" and thought I was to avoid Peter's Yard for fear of being pastried to death.

Sadly I'm on the train outta here every morning 0730 so would only ever made a pre-work meeting if I wasn't going in to work.

Velcome Dougal, very occasional evening pub things happen and sometimes some cycle trips. We had a lovely time the day we went to crammond as there was No Rats.

Partly why this forum is not so savage as others is that several of us have met or we stop and chat.

"I was to avoid Peter's Yard for fear of being pastried to death."

I tried that on an Audax once, it was very enjoyable.
