Thought one or two on here might fancy these:

Cycling Infrastructure Manager - Transport for Greater Manchester - Greater Manchester - £46,304 - £52,120

First thought? Sole responsibility for the delivery of cycle infrastructure for 3 million people doesn't seem to pay very well.

I wonder if this is related to the poor quality of cycle infrastructure in the UK?

It's not peanuts, but for perspective, you can earn *a lot* more running a supermarket.

Knowing something of the area in question ought to be a prerequisite.

    Also:
"In return, as well as a competitive salary, TfGM offers you a range of fantastic benefits, such as:

*Free bus travel within Greater Manchester
*Rail or Metrolink travel to and from work"

No "secure cycle storage and cycling mileage allowance".

"The candidate will be required to demonstrate an ability to remain focused and to deliver pragmatic solutions under pressure."

Having had any idealism beaten out of you in a previous similar position is strongly desired.
