So, did anyone see more (or less...?) cyclists out there today? I'm not sure I did actually. Mainly the same people I often see. Did your place of gainful employ do anything to celebrate it?

Does Cycle To Work Day actually pick up serious media promotion? I note there's a fair old splash in The Grauniad today but haven't seen much else.

Apart from a bit on twitter, I wouldn't have known about this. Our bike parking was very full, but probably more due to nice weather.

Can't say if there were more or less on the road yesterday?

My colleague mentioned it to me. Apparently her flatmate has just started cycling from Stockbridge to Corstrophine.

It didn't seem all that busy... In fact the MMW counter was only in the 300s both today and yesteday morning at around 08:30, whereas on a 'busy' day I would expect it to be up into the 400s by that kind of time. I did see a fair number of cyclists when I arrived at Heriot-Watt, but that is mainly because I dropped in on the free bike breakfast that had been organised by Abi at Transition Heriot-Watt where I enjoyed a croissont and cup of fruit juice whilst having a quick chat with cycling colleagues.

I only found out when someone facebooked it halfway through the day. Our bike racks were actually quieter than usual for some reason.
