@DaveC and @DrAfternoon both > 25% through. More than twice as far as the furthest I've ever cycled. Nuts...

Dr Afternoon through Carhaix and DaveC through Loudeac. Sterling effort guys!

DaveC and Dr Afternoon now both through Brest. Come on gentlemen, half way there!
Posted 10 years ago # -
Wonder if they've stopped for sleep in Brest?
Absolutely brilliant effort!Posted 10 years ago # -
They don't seem to be leaving much time to visit the sights. Hardly worth cycling all that way there without having a look about. ;-)

Well done to them. Must be amazing to join an Audax as a mass participation event in a country that likes cycling.
Sure Dave and AlfC will be thinking back to their PBP ride back in 2011 in early days of CCE forum.

It is completely amazing. Seems like not much sleep had on the first night and I'm not sure about last night. Apparently the first participants have already finished: 1200 km in 42 hours!

Sounds like great fun.

I understand that Steve Abraham the Year Record-Attempt Guy is also doing PBP. For him it's probably like getting out of class for playtime.

Dr Afternoon back at Loudeac, 782km in.
Posted 10 years ago # -
Chapeau, mes ami!
Look like the kind of immense fun that I'm secretly relieved someone else is having.
Posted 10 years ago # -
There must be a word for that.
Zyklusvermeidenerleichterung ?

Dr Afternoon back in Fougeres and DaveC in Tinteniac- absolutely brilliant!
Posted 10 years ago # -
Good work, gentlemen. Keep going!

Picked this up on twitter last night.
Cyclisme. Un participant du Paris-Brest-Paris décéde sur le parcoursSadly not everyone will complete the course. 69 year old had heart attack and found at side of road. It's that kind of event. Stories like this just make people keener to try it.

I don't see tweets from DaveC. Conserving his energy to use on his legs!
Picked up this from a French recliner. Made me laugh. Micro-nap.

#pbp2015 Fougères. Je suis crevé. Micro sieste puis je repars après.

Allez!
(PS: I like the overall average speed calculations on the trackers. Both parish heroes appear to have gone through the first 221km like the proverbial off a shovel.)
Posted 10 years ago # -
@DrAfternoon on the home straight - set to arrive between 18:41 and 19:19 (GMT +2).
@DaveC making good time - 22 hours to do 200km.
Allez!Posted 10 years ago # -
@DrAfternoon finished- massive effort, well done!
Posted 10 years ago # -

Well done Dave C, Dr Afternoon and Cyclops. An amazing effort.
Posted 10 years ago # -
Yes. Think if you're not in Paris by thursday lunctime you're out of time.
We should have had a separate thread for this. PBP is not just another Audax...
Well done to all three!Posted 10 years ago #
