Out for a wee walk along WoL path with my better half this afternoon. We took the little cut through at Currie where the engine shed was sold to the man who is going to create a design studio at some point. He staked his boundaries with a lovely fence which oddly all was nicked. So the new fence is wire. Hanging from the wire on the wee cut through was a laminated poster asking horse riders to be courteous on shared paths. For those having their tea or squeamish, stop reading now,
The poster is really about manure. The horse rider is requested to get the horse over to the side of the path if they can sense movement. Otherwise they are instructed to get off and kick the stuff to the side of the path.
Can't say I have ever seen this type of courteous behaviour but do strive to remain on friendly terms with horses and their riders.
