It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.

Happy birthday! I read you every day. I like the simplicity of the interface. Other kinds of comments threads where you get replies to replies to replies like a spiral end up being too difficult to follow.
There's nowhere else I know where you can get sympathy for pot holes and shared lamentations about a lack of dropped kerbs.

I can only echo what's been said above.
I joined as a novice cyclist. Thanks to advice here I'm now way more confident.
I've also had my views challenged and changed, learnt about a huge range of topics I would never have even known about and have laughed a frankly unnatural mount. There seems to be a really diverse range of people with one common interest, and I genuinely feel better for having found this forum and it's probably my most visited site.
If I get out of bed early enough then I'll make it to PY one day.

Good virtual real interface on this site, including towpath banter, actual trip to pub and coffee shops/barges, after school bike clubs etc. Well worth the membership fee.
