    - doing 50mph in a 30mph area

    - made no attempt to brake or swerve

    - previously disqualified after four previous speeding offences

    - hadn't applied for a new license

    - was uninsured

... But does "charity" work, so a bit of community service will do the job. Also a four-year driving ban although I don't think that will mean much to him.

You missed "on a wet, dark Saturday night"

Nothing wrong with how he was driving, as far as the courts are concerned that's entirely normal behaviour punishable only by banning the offender from doing something they did regardless of the previous ban.

Our justice system is so skewed it is beyond belief.

Twitter troll sentenced to jail for tweeting offensive 'jokes' about a murdered teacher.

Motorcyclist sentenced to jail for exceeding 100mph on a motorway.

Killers continually let off and no lifetime driving bans!

What do we do to stop the madness?

When I saw this thread in the list of recent threads, I initially assumed this was an old thread from a few months ago - one about a taxi driver killing a pensioner and avoiding prison.

This verdict is just par for the course.

Prison isn't for killer drivers, it's for twitter trolls.
