The company lost the advertising contract at start of August but continued cleaning the shelters for two months then scarpered with them? Oh dear. When EBC were undercut in the bike to work scheme by Evans their response was to offer all council employees. A fifteen per cent discount on bikes. Good for them. I blame thatcher for the need to put such contracts out to tender when the relationship is positive for both parties but that is thatcher's legacy. Obvioulsy when I say that her, she is just the figurehead. Evil tho she was

I did not realise only certain shops could do the cycle scheme I bought my bike in evans but did not use the scheme as would take my employer a while I would imagine. May use the scheme next time. Not quite sure why council only they get enough perks already but as a private co op then I suppose is business decisions. Always annoyed me in edinburgh lesuire the way government and council employees get a discount when low income or unemployed had to pay full price seemed like the administrators helping then self to the service etc. edinburgh lesuire a waste of money ended up using pure or heriot watt. I think thatcher pre dated the cycle to work but I know what mean with the out to tender mind set etc in the case of cycle scheme seem unfair on some business etc.

Council go with single provider who will do all the paperwork for them on bike scheme

Would hope unsmployed could still get discount at edinburgh leisure and other low paid workers certainly excluded from council worker discount. On positive side, council is a good employer.
