I notice Keith Brown is absent from the list of speakers this year - must be the thought of facing that irksome Magnatom again!

(Just to be clear - this is a joke for attendees at least year's event, where Keith Brown was extremely rude to Magnatom for no apparent reason).

    "for no apparent reason"

I assume that's part of the same joke(?)! (Ho ho)

When is the SNP deputy leadership contest/new cabinet?

Perhaps the most interesting thing about #csconf14 was the journey to and from the velodrome

    From above -

The problem with our cities isn’t just that they don’t really work for people on bikes. They don’t even work for people in cars either, not even the ones like Glasgow where cars have been given almost all the room. So now all we have to do is convince the powers that be that solving the former problem might just solve the latter too…

Pretty much true for Edinburgh too.

that last tweet was referring to David Middleton from Transport Scotland's speech. In subsequent questioning he said something about 'if the percentages don't improve then we may have to look at it again' which Alistair Dalton of the Scotsman interpreted as them downgrading from 10% to something lower (by that time he was back on message about it being a shared vision or whatever)
