Although I seem to recall I joined and then forgot I had joined and it took me maybe a year beyond that to actively contribute.

    Ooooh! Free marmalade!!
Now all I have to do is persuade Boyfriend Of Fimm to a) sign up and b) come to the pub (the latter might be harder than it seems because he has a nasty cold and is feeling very sorry for himself).
    ;-)

I intend to show up briefly at least, as I have a JE James pannier for Darkerside.

    So am I right?

Meet at Argyle Bar on Argyle Place, at 19:30 in the celler bar on the 31st October 2014?

Is this the same day as the breakfact coffee meet at PY?

Jeepers its going to be a long day.

I doubt that I will come to PY as well.

I'll try to make PY - the evening may be a bit of stretch but ...

As I live about 2 minutes from the venue, I will try and make it but might be shepherding young Trick or Treaters.

    Are comedy name badges required?

Not sure if I'll make it to the Argyle Arms. There's only so much Irn Bru one can drink. Mind you, if there's a decent cider…

Have you tried Scotmid's Tillington Hills? My fave. Especially since our local always has it cold.

I like that stuff too, with lashings and lashings of ice's icy ice.

I'll nominate myself for the ghastly social awkwardness of being first one there by arriving at 1930 prompt.

I'll be the one that looks like Uberuce, for the newcomers.

I may not make this. I'm not well.

Seeing as it's hallowe'en and all, howzaboutz everyone dons a ZZ top fancy dress beard, a wooly jumper or Minnie Mouse t-shirt and pretends to look strong, and we can have a "guess the Uberuce" competition. Also a prize for "best dressed Uberuce".

I'll endevour to come second or lower, in honour of Charlie Chaplain.

    Mmm, marmalade...

I'll be getting into Waverley at 1920 so I'll race you for the social awkwardness award, Uberuce.

I see there was 2 planned events one in the morning that has already occured. When glanced at the other thread assumed had missed this.

Will be able to attend the evening event wonder if the pub has a bike rack.

Oh how I wish I had such garb!

I'll not get out the house before 1930 so depending on buses I'll be closer to 2030 I expect. Hope everyone isn't just going for 1...

There's Sheffield Stands across the road directly opposite, and along the road. And various handy lamp posts around the place.

There's a reasonable number of bike racks in the neighbourhood, Ed1.

Really sorry to hear that fimm. Let me know if you'd like me to drop some reading material round at yours.

That's very kind of you, SRD. Being a great re-reader, I'm not usually short of something to read. I'm perking up a bit now, & Boyfriend is encouraging me to think I might be able to come out later.

Surely someone newer than me will claim the marmalade...

My bad, I forgot about this (how is this possible I hear you all say).

8pm is a long time to sit in the office with nothing to do (actually got lots to do but refuse to do it on a Friday night), so if anyone fancies a 5 or 6pm meet I could do that. Billy nae mates for 3 hours is a bit much. :)

I've been hovering in an undecided fashion but it looks like I'm not going to be able to make it as I've already been out 2 nights this week.

A shame as I was looking good for the marmalade.

Won't make it sadly... away at moment.

Hope downstairs works. Maybe worth giving them a call to remind them.

Darkersider - item for you at TBW (open till 8).

Mrs ARobComp is away on some sort of pre-wedding lady ritual this weekend so I'll be there with metaphysical bells on.
