Reykjavik City has opened its summer streets again and rarely Laugavegur has been so colorful now. Our photographer took a look in town with a camera and clicked some pictures .

Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.
RULES No personal insults. No swearing.

Interesting photos. No hi-viz and no helmets.
(Although I do wonder what they do when it starts chucking it down during an Atlantic gale - as is not uncommon in Iceland. Maybe just wait.)
I was there a couple of weeks ago. Nice cold autumn weather. Didn't see a massive amount of cycling, but those I did see were of the no specific gear variety. A bit of on pavement cycling (but at a slow/relaxed pace), a decent amount of segregated facilities along the big arterial roads.
Spectacular scenery, fine long climbs, but also large expanses of flat, exposed former seabed. Must get some murderous headwinds. Lots of big cars as well (unsurprising seeing as a lot of non-urban, non-mainroads are unmetalled).
