Taxi drivers in the city today were much worse behaved than usual, it seemed to me. Close passes, cutting up, swerving all over the show....
I had No.2 daughter on the tagalong too: couldn't they be a bit more patient in the circumstances, instead of acting like total knobs?
Grrrr....
Classic EEN.
Tram collides with taxi......not taxi drives into tram which is on a fixed rail? Hilarious that they are reporting that the tram and taxi stopped, exchanged details and all was well within 15 minutes.
Sheesh, I have had punctures that took longer to fix.
No wonder that paper is dying.
"
A COLLISION between a taxi and a tram in the city centre has sparked fears that repeated accidents could push up insurance costs for cabbies.
Taxi bosses said their insurance premiums could soar if there are repeated collisions with Edinburgh’s tram network.
"
Oh dear, poor cabbies. Maybe they should watch their friggin' driving then!
No sympathy from me. At all.
Taxi bosses said their insurance premiums could soar if there are repeated collisions with Edinburgh’s tram network.
I don't understand why they are saying this. If taxi drivers crash their taxis, their premiums will go up. The trams are irrelevant.
"I don't understand why they are saying this."
It's called attempting to deflect blame from their own rubbish and dangerous driving.
