Funnily enough I'm @ruggtomcat.
anyone else? i just did a load of #ff cycling tweeps.
for the doubters and the haters, twitter is the reason I'm here (not necessarily a great argument I know :p )
CityCyclingEdinburgh was launched on the 27th of October 2009 as "an experiment".
IT’S TRUE!
CCE is 15years old!
Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.
RULES No personal insults. No swearing.
Funnily enough I'm @ruggtomcat.

@urbancyclist for the cycling/personal/citycycling stuff
@wildedinburgh for the wildlife site I've got
yep, @stepdoran . There's a list here:
boom! :)
Amazing, and I thought it was only media luvvies and the unemployed who had the time ;-))
(dons flameproof cycle cape and noncholantly exits stage left whistling....)
AS a media luvvie I take real offence to that. *flounces off to groucho club for a cocktail*
as an unemployed media luvvie Im crying into my cornflakes.
As a wannabe media luvvie I'll write about you then have someone else take the credit, plaudits and awards.
No.
Yes.
Maybe.
Twice
One time... Two times.....
I'm there: @philipstout
Can't offer any commuting info, unless you're interested in a geographically concise 10 minute walk, but cycling tends to feature in the occasional tweet...
On what?
Nope. It's enough keeping up with Facebook updates without getting into a niche like Twitter
facebook is the niche, twitter is the real world ;)
Think RSS feeds, but with a human in the middle.
I am therefore neither niche nor real world acquainted.
you have us :)
I've just "followed" the lot of you (see, I'm up on the lingo already). I'm still not sure what twitter is or how it works beyond seeing if Lothian Buses are running in the snow...
@Michael_Balmain I think
@kaput Best. Twittername. Ever. I once walked past a tent where the cocteau twins were playing, doppler effect enhanced warbling was one of the oddest sounds I've ever heard.
And I've sat through all of the Cremaster Cycle.
@DaveCrampton
@ Anth, do you know Ian (@iancyclops)?
@stepdoh - why thanks. I wondered if anyone would "get it" - obviously it's a test and if you do "get it" you're well down with the nippers.
(@cocteautriplets is what we're talking aboot eh)
Anth also got the magnificentoctopus reference in my email address. He's down with the nippers also.
I'm on I'll add the rest of you later, so far the only people I follow are Anth, chdot, Lothian Buses and NASA.
One of these provides information on my commute some days.
I'm @steveo_mcg though i don't think i ever tweet any thing....
@DaveCrampton, I vaguely know cyclops through Blipfoto - not sure if we've actually ever properly met and chatted though. Been at a couple of events where he was there.
Like steveo I need to work through and add folk...
@wingpig though there's been little except the automatic feed from photoblog posts recently. I would gripe more about cycling but for the fact that I'd need to stop to do so.
I'm @Cyclingmollie If you add everyone here you'll pick up quite a lot of cross chatter. If you are following someone who replies to someone else you follow, you see that reply as well. I'm not sure if there's a way to stop that.
put everyone on a list and just watch that when you wanna catch up?
Well it's four or five months since the first replies on this thread and ... I'm still not playing. But I drop in on two or three Twitter feeds, once fora activity has been digested.
Kaputnik, the octopus reference wasn't lost on me either. :) Coincidentally, Octopus was indeed a magnificent album.
