It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.
RULES No personal insults. No swearing.
One useful thing I've found with twitter (@stepdoran) is the earlier commuters amongst us warning of bad conditions for the commute.
Even just an ice warning popping up on your phone before you head out could be a lifesaver.

My real name is Tom and I commute by bike to Market Street from Musselburgh twice a week. My shout-out would be for @Cousland, fighting a proposed open-cast mine proposal.

That's a great list. I've been following most of them since it was posted here. LeithandMustard's tweets are like a sit-com, with badly behaved cats and awful family visits. Tracy Griffen is basically fitness tips (and a great hero-photo).
