The hip-hop trio fought off stiff competition to land the prestigious £20,000 prize thanks to their album Dead.

Good for them. (Yes I have heard of them.)

Perhaps good for Edinburgh - not as well know for music/bands as Glasgow.

Alloysious Massaquoi is originally from Liberia. Kayus Bankole has Nigerian parents. 'G' Hastings is from the Drylaw "scheme" in north Edinburgh.[1] Massaquoi moved to Edinburgh aged 4 and Bankole was born in Edinburgh but spent several years living in Maryland as well as Nigeria before moving back to the city of his birth in his teens. The trio has developed a reputation for making a unique blend of music utilising diverse influences which reflect their backgrounds.

I loved the bit in the interview last night where he said 'we met at the bongo club. The original bongo club'. Like the R4 audience would have the slightest clue as to the sad saga of the bongo club.
