Anyone know about the survey cameras that have appeared? They seem to focus on the junction from Morrison St and the station drop off / cycle lane

Maybe trying to catch errant taxi drivers?

I saw the drop off/cycle lane ones this morning - hadn't noticed the Morrison Street ones. I assume just monitoring as there would have to be big signs if they were being used for enforcement.

Noticed them last night at the cross roads when coming down Morrison Street. Maybe looking to see exactly just how screwed up that bit of road is now

Might be to do with the Haymarket Development proposals.

    What "Haymarket Development Proposals"?

I spotted the rest of them - a little forest of thin poles on the pedestrian island at the bottom of Dalry Road.

That big vacant site by the junction. 14/03230/FUL on the planning portal.

They did seem to be pointing at areas where there have been cycling issues - e.g. light jumping when the trams come at the bottom of Morrison St and whether cyclists are using their lane at Haymarket or cycling a little crescent once past it to align with the tracks. It was interesting to see both ends of the Haymarket dropoff are monitored

Hmmm. Maybe I should stop cycling into the tram stop in order to get off at the big glass doors on the left. (I can cycle into the jug handle and walk through the old building just as easily.)
