I remember watching Nell pedalling around Scotland anumber of years ago, cooking as she went. Appears she owns, or has a stake in, the Mint Cafe in bankland, and definitely does a good bacon roll. Bike was parked outside (fetched something from the pannier while I was in).

"Eat well with Nell" is one of my favourite cookbooks. Loads of interesting health & nutrition information with tasty recipes to back them up. She also teaches evening classes - a colleague got her as a teacher for a course on Thai cooking, I think it was, and thought she was terrific.

I am good friends with her brother. So I was at the launch of the book in 2011 and had some very nice endamame beans.
Technically when she was the woman that ate Scotland the camera crew demanded five star accommodation and this was too expensive for the budget in the central belt so she was The Woman Who Ate Bits of Scotland north and south of the central belt.
She was at the last POP I recall.
