I may be being stupid, but is there a way of downloading a high-res version of the poster? It's all fuzzy when I try.

Can I acquire some flyers/posters to take to Heriot-Watt?

You certainly can @jdanielp..Only in return for a guaranteed Kingfisher spot though :-).

I can transfer mid canal trip, or at some other suitable meeting spot.

I've stocked up Hart's Cyclery on St John's Road with a big pile of leaflets so if anyone wants some in West Edin you can pick them up from there. I can always restock Graeme if he runs out.

    @biketrain - I will give you a bundle tomorrow.

Any other events that people want to take flyers/posters for?

The first PoP poster is up at Heriot-Watt on my office door. I'll deliver the rest to our cycling development officer tomorrow and we'll work out where to put them.

"we make it a general rule here at POP towers that new money is not new money until David du Feu of Spokes has confirmed it’s new money"

    VERY wise!

I shall be on-foot-with-pram for PoP as I don't want to risk the trains with the bike (and cycling the entire way across with the childseat doesn't sound particularly fun).

Plan is to mill around at the beginning and then nip to the end and take photos of people arriving, but if I can be useful in some other way let me know.

@Darkerside - excellent, you can join our feeder walk http://pedalonparliament.org/a-feeder-walk-from-waverley/

Any sort of flag or banner would be appreciated - especially for those on foot so it's clear you're part of it and not just caught up in it by mistake! Also because there are never enough flags, signs and banners at POP

@kappers - do you mind checking your email (or PM) for one from me on TShirts?

Not sure if it is getting through.

    Cheers,

    HC

Groovy, I'll do my best to festoon the pram appropriately.

Just signed up for the Leith Feeder facebook event. Getting a bit excited now! Have always been busy in previous years so this will be my first.

I'm a bit slow on the uptake (about 5 months perhaps) but the front page has a picture of a 'little boy' on his bike, that is our youngest on the bike, Louis!! :D

DaveC - is that okay? I thought I'd checked with the parents of the children we'd featured but I may have muddled some of the photos up.

Current discussion on the POP mailing list is whether we should order a few wee flags to give away with the poster image on one side and the order of events on the day on the other (as a souvenir / alternative the the flyers we had done last year). What do people think? They will just be the little handflags and we're not entirely sure how people will attach them to their bikes/selves but should hopefully add to the gaiety of the occasion

@sally, sure!! I spoke to the photographer last year, as I bought the image from him for our own personal use.

  21. @dougal See you at the feeder ride! This year there's me, Gordon Carmichael and Roberto (who I'm sure is a member here) leading the group, and I believe there's an 'Un-Feeder' ride going back to Leith afterwards for the first time.

I just noticed the sidebar still says "Now working on 2014 event #PoP2014" if there's an admin standing around with nothing to do ;-)

@threefromleith Will be good to meet more Leither cyclists!

I propose to do handlebars in Livingston (the few at my office and the even fewer at the railway station) and probably some chalking.

I thought I would also do the bikes at the Commonweath Pool when I'm there on a Monday evening.
How about Haymarket? Someone else did it last year (which is probably good as I pass through early and late).

Has anyone spoken to Abellio? POP would fit their proposals and commitments for ScotRail very well.

They could probably rustle up a couple of their Bike & Go bikes to show off as well.

Abellio will be well aware - most staff transferred with franchise, and have been reminded at least once.

AFAIK all routes open services look normal recommendation - board at Waverley Acces suggestions Market Street (escalators & lifts as well as Stairs) or Calton Road (lifts and Stairs)

Orderly boarding = 32 bikes on 6 coach via Falkirk similar for via Airdrie & plenty space for Ayr via Carstairs but not as frequent

    Will check coaches.

Do consider fallback to train/coach if wind is high on Forth Bridge

I wasn't so much thinking about transporting punters to POP, important though that is, but rather Abellio representation and participation at POP. Making Scotland a cycle-friendly country fits with Abellio's expressed plans around bike hubs at stations, Bike & Go, improving access to stations, facilitating the passenger's door to door journey, etc

They could be a useful ally and another voice in favour of infrastructure.
