A bit like Hunters Hall, but better, at least the road cycle bit is...

"but better"
Understatement!
Bit more coherent and ambitious than HH plans.
BUT doesn't seem to be 'funded' at all.
What happens there now? Open space or football pitches??

The planned cycling bits are just open space at the moment. They seem to be adding more all weather pitches, which is where cx racing takes place at the moment. Go-ride takes place in the NE grassy area, which looks unchanged.

Looks good. The track looks very adaptable. Just a shame they aren't including an velodrome as part of it. Even an all weather outdoor one.

"Just a shame they aren't including an velodrome as part of it."
I think Glasgow has the monopoly on 'what a velodrome should be like'.
If anything happens at HH I think the concrete bowl will be the least used bit (if that is opted for) - at least for its intended purpose.

I'll agree that we're unlikely to get another as good as Glasgow for a generation but if it's the Murrayfield of the track cycling world then we need plenty local tracks where kids can train several times a week.

See below update. Things progressing well in Linlithgow. The team lobbying to get this need support though.
They'd like people to join as an 'associate' member of LCDT , even if you live outside Linlithgow. Associate members don't have voting rights but it's good to show the importance of the project for the wider community and nationally. So if you think you'd ever use the new facility then please join the LCDT (link below..
Update on the proposed 1.6km traffic-free circuit in Linlithgow.
The Linlithgow Community Development Trust (LCDT) has secured funding for a business plan and West Lothian Council has agreed to the land transfer going ahead in November once the business plan has been submitted.
This is a good news and takes the project onto the next stage.
Still someway to go but things are moving in the right direction.
What can you do to help I hear you asking?
1. Join the LCDT even if you don't live in Linlithgow. This shows public support.
2. If you are near by, go to the Public Meeting in Linlithgow on Saturday to show your support for the project

The linked page seems to contradict what you're saying about non-residents.

Yes, thanks Dougal.. I should have been more explicit.. Full membership is for residents only. Associate membership is for anybody who might use the facility eg for Cross races, future road circuit races , training etc..
