Just like Hilly Tuesday but on Wednesday - innovative!

I suggest we meet at the gate at 6.15pm

Alas - for me that coincides with feeding time at the zoo so I'll be wrangling the younglings along their bedtime routine.

6.15 is too late to fit in with my commute home, but too early for evening shenanigans.

    Hope you have good lights!

Tonight I'm at shop waiting for a pick up of a trike.

I was thinking about a few laps tonight. I'm currently in Glasgow so unlikely to make it for 6.15, but will keep an eye out for any CCE'ers when I do get there. How's the weather at the moment?

Weather is moderately okay here - about 9 degrees, little wind, light showers

Could do with a bit of hill work. I shall come along.

Still awaiting my cranks after snapping one the other week. They should be here in the next few days and I'll be back out more regularly and likely up for this.

@DrAfternoon wonderful - see you there

    @PS hopefully you too

@everyone else - hopefully we can keep this up over the winter. When we last did it a couple of years ago it worked really well

Well that was good if a little damp. One of the few times I've been on the Seat without wind (fnaar). Twice round with JacksonPriest, who is as sprightly as ever going up hill.

Started raining just as I left the house... Hurray for 'guards!

Two guys came and went while I waited for a couple of minutes at the gate. Didn't recognise either, but spent the rest of the four laps I did wondering if it was some CCE'ers whom I didn't recognise in the dark with bright lights shining in my face... :)

It was dry by the time I finished.

Looks like a new fixture for hill enthusiasts! (the day - not Arthur's Seat as it seems to be permanent)
    Will do a lap soon.

I made it out, but my back light died, and only got a couple of laps in. Probably did see some CCE folk, very hard to tell in the dark. Need a secret light flash.

@DrAfternoon it's hard to make out anyone in the dark but two of us were lurking next to the gate from about 6.10 to 6.20 ish. I think you'd recognise me (if you could see me).

@PS it was strange weather - I am sure the forecast said it'd be dry but I was quite wet by the time I got home.

    Need a secret light flash.

The thought did occur to me as I reached the bottom of the rise through the cutting (best place for inspiration - I think at that point oxygen levels are back to normal after the climb and the long flattish bit has helped relax the brain a bit ;o) ) that we could develop lighthouse style rear light signatures. For instance, of late I've adopted a flashing cherry bomb on seat post with constant two light Decathlon LED below and to right of cherry bomb.

I'm going to try to get there tonight but rain and having to come in from Dalkeith today may put me off. See you there or not!

I'm in Glasgow *again* so may end up just going for a run by the time I get home... I know, I know...

"a run"? What, like without a bike? Does not compute.

I probably won't have time to rebuild my bike by 6pm unfortunately so another indoor session for me (also rain)

Forecast to stop by 6 -

But doesn't look like it's going to rain - will go out with waterproofs this afternoon to make sure...

It's still looking dry-ish. I may just make it (if I don't get a bout of inertia once I get home).

Having battled with the traffic on the bypass, I've lost the will to battle the traffic all the way from Dalkeith. So I'm going for a short ride Carrington way.
