... another puncture on way into work saw my last patch used leaving me patch and solution-less.
What are the odds I'll get a puncture on the way home. :)

IT’S TRUE!

Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.

I just replace tubes now unless I'm touring. Just not worth the hassle!
If you're getting a lot of flats, consider your tyres. I always seem to find that I go without flats forever, then suddenly they turn a tipping point and get punctured by everything.
Expensive to replace tubes every time, I go three patches then bin.
I got home surprisingly safe and well (and that tailwind, whee!). Wiggle postbag sitting on desk this morning containing a new tube and some nice yellow pedros levers, so now I'm guaranteed to not have a puncture for ages. (I'm at four patches on the back :) )
My back tyre is a Conti CityContact which is reasonably new and went well for ages. Suspect is useless against Hawthorn attacks, which are a depressingly common occurence on the bit between ingliston and the RBS at gogar.
Is it a seasonal thing?
