The incident happened just after 9pm on the Blackhall cycle path.
A 16-year-old was walking home and entered the path at Wester Coates Terrace when he saw three males standing on the bridge area.

Good old EEN - surely the Wester Coates Terrace entrance is onto the Roseburn Path? It even says so on Google Maps....

Hope they catch the culprits, though even I chose not to walk alone in some places!
That Wester Coates Terr is a 'well dodgy area'! Some locals only have a 63 plate Range Rover Evoke! Imagine the shame!!

Within sight of my kitchen window (assuming they mean the viaduct and not the bridge over the A8)

I was once on the same bridge fixing a puncture (in summer) and set off sharpish before fully inflating the tyre after overhearing two passing junkie-types discussing who was going to belt me with the pole one was carrying and who was going to grab my bike...

My better half doesn't use the path even though she has a weekly journey that basically goes from one end of it to the other, on safety grounds. (Drives instead).
I haven't really noticed it to be too bad at the times I'm commuting, even the videos of people stealing motorbikes when I watched them back made me realise that actually they were posing just about zero threat to me.

I must have cycled along the cycle path about 8:15 on Wednesday. Didn't notice anything suspicious. Just some cyclists!
