Given this is the time of year for clicking idly through the web (surely that's not just me?), I highly recommend EcoVelo.

It's not been updated since the start of 2012, but there's loads of sensible utility-biking stuff on there with generally gorgeous photos. And unbelievably clean bikes.

    Enjoy...

Bicycles are remarkably reliable vehicles that require very little in the way of maintenance.

Some might not agree of course...

is a very nice looking site. The presentation and framing of shots is just beautiful.

EBC photographer George Ferguson even got his pics on here (we're talking before everyone had high end cameras). I volunteered the Bernds (the inspiration for the Helios) as a lot was in the retro style with few small wheeled bikes - let alone tandems.

You'll see that he was the guy that did the recumbent blog which featured some nice shots of (you've guessed it) a Nazca Fuego.

is there no end to Laid Back self promotion!? (Don't answer).

It was a great blog when it was running - one of my daily faves. I think it just got a bit out of hand in terms of upkeep in the end. Possibly my photography highlight of my life was when they did a readers' competition and I actually got shortlisted. I still came last though

Some might not agree of course... Depends on how much riding you do.
