We're running one night Beginner's Repair Classes in January and February in aid of The Skelf bike park (theskelf.org.uk). I realise these may be a bit basic for many on here, but thought it worth mentioning in case you know people who would be interested.

These will cover names of parts of the bike, fitting a tyre and inner tube, safety checking a bike, general maintenance and cover the basics of adjusting gears and brakes.

We won't be charging for these but instead are asking people to make a donation to The Skelf, either on the night or online.

Dates are: 7:30-9pm 28th January and 4th, 11th and 18th February. email me at hannah@thecycleserviceDOTcoDOTuk with name, email address and contact phone number to book a place.

    Yes, but -

CCE really has people of all experiences from 'novices' onwards.

    Nice idea.

@cycleservice - where would you be holding the classes? That's just the sort of thing I need :-)

@Beano, They'll be at the shop premises, The Cycle Service, 50 West Richmond Street, EH8 9DZ. It's between The Pleasance and Nicholson Street, so pretty central. Just fire me an email if you'd like to come, there's one place left on the 28th class, still plenty of space on the other dates. Thanks, Hannah

I work in Chambers St. so that's handy for me. I'll send an email to book on the 28th :-)

    Thanks.

@chdot Not unless there's a mechanical solution to that particular problem!

That's the 28th full now, space still in the February classes if anyone else is interested
