First post so hope it is ok here.

I have recently had my beloved Klein Q Carbon road bike stolen from our stairwell in Hillside Crescent around 1st Jan. It was locked up and concealed under the stair so someone knew about it and came back with bolt cutters. I'm absolutely gutted as this was my mode of transport around Edinburgh and has been all round Scotland with me. I also lost my job before Christmas and this is yet another blow.

I have seen two of these in the last 5 years since I've owned it and never another one in black so it is pretty rare.

    Spec is:

KLEIN Road bike, black, medium/small sized, compact frame with ‘Q Carbon’ on top tube and ‘Klein’ on downtube in two tone green/purple sparkly paint. Has 105 groupset (silver front and rear mech) with FSA carbon cranks. Bontrager ‘racelite’ rims in blue with bontrager hubs. Thomson seatpost, giro seat and deda stem/bars. black crank brothers spds. Noticeable with turquoise blue headtube spacers. Carbon forks and rear stays with ‘Klein’ decal in white vinyl.

Please share this with your biking buddies and keep an eye out. I'm not holding out for much but would love to get this back.

    Many thanks,
    Donnie

Sorry to hear of your loss and hope you get it back.

Assume you've set up Gumtree and Fleabay alerts should someone try and list it for sale?

Given there's anecdotal evidence that stolen high-end bikes often end up being sent down South for resale it's worth a long shot perhaps adding it to a site such as https://checkthatbike.co.uk/ if you still have a note of the serial number?

Sorry to hear that, I hope it's something that never happens to me. Saw your post on /r/Edinburgh - I hope someone spots it soon.

Thanks all - yeah, I'm keeping tabs on findthatbike and regularly check ebay and gumtree for the frame or parts from it... nothing so far so I wonder if it's just sitting in a lock up somewhere. I saw a post about a chap who had his Klein stolen down South and it ended up in Lithuania six months later - a chap did a search on it and saw the ad on findthatbike. I guess some stories have happy endings :)
