    Should provide a much needed shot in the arm to local businesses such as Sainsburys, Boots and WH Smith.

    No mention of how much the council are charging them for the land.

    If I used the park I think I'd be rather pissed off at it's closure.

    I think this is fair enough. Accom during festival is pricey. Good to encourage non-luvvie tourists.

    Don;t they need planning permission for this? And what about the statutory procedure to waive access rights for the duration? Neither of these processes ought to be 'rubber stamps' as both require proper consultation with the community.

    Campsite under two feet of water? With enough drink and sunburn people will pay serious money for that.
