I think I might go to this. I'm on the verge of putting a sign up in my stair to ask the students to better park their BSOs so as not to block access to the back green.

Last week there was a wall of bikes 4 deep, completely blocking the door.

A number of bikes found themselves spending a damp, chilly night in the back green.

There will be a poster available nearer to the event - worth putting that up too!

I was going to design my own and share it for all here to decorate their stairs with too :)

The Council and Grange/Prestonfield Community Council seem to have managed to arrange a meeting to discuss "plans for traffic, cycling and parking issues in large parts of the ward" at much the same time as the Spokes meeting tonight.

    Details here

    I use these -

vertically - though should be strong enough horizontally if in solid enough bit of wood.

There are also these, which I have never actually seen and not sure how you're supposed to mount them -

We've got a couple of these Topeak Oneups. Reet smart, they are.

However, we've got four bikes, and I want another one two, so not sure what to do next.

In my old flat's cupboard-under-the-stairwell I had a thing from EBC

which folded out from the wall to that it could support the frame as I was wary of leaving something as heavy as a bike (to which would still be attached both locks) hanging by a single wheel. Didn't use it much as the cupboard was so small it was slightly less convenient to use the hook. Might get another one to reduce the amount of hallway I take up at the moment.

Oooh, looks just a pair of drops.

Get old frame, stem and bars and fix to wall somehow!

There's an article in the latest Boneshaker magazine about a guy (I think) who is recycling bits of bikes into useful stuff. One of the examples appears to be some drops on a vetical pole that sits in a set of casters from a chair. Such a thing might well solve my problems. Off to the tip...

What we really need is an improvement in on street parking...

don't be silly Kim, we'd have to lose some car parking spaces for that and as we all know, Edinburgh's streets were built for horses and carts parking cars on

    "some of those"

Towards the back 2nd left aisle.

Usually have some some cycle related items.

But you 'get what you pay for'

    Don't buy the hacksaw blades!

Not a lot to go wrong with this one though.
