Charity Beer Tasting Event Friday 20th March

    I know that a few of you are fans of beer, and of tasting said beverage.

    My SO (fiancée as of the weekend) is holding a fundraising Beer Tasting Evening for the charity Dermatrust on Friday the 20th March. She's also running the london marathon for them a month or so later. She's looking to raise quite a bit o dosh but wanted to have some fun events too so she's doing this beer tasting! Poster below. Please PM me for more details but the bare bones are
    *9 beers (varying sample sizes)
    *a led tasting by a beer expert (not me)
    *snacks
    *6:30 at appelation wines in stockbridge on Friday 20th March
    *Tickets £16 of which most of it goes to charity.

    Be great to see some of you there. I have bought a ticket (and not because I had to)

    Congratulations, ARC! How did you propose?

    Love a good beer tasting but I've found the staff in Appellation Wines in Dalry not overly friendly so not chomping at the bit to book. Don't know if the atmosphere is different in Stockbridge shop though?

    Would much rather just go see Chris in Cork & Cask for beer requirements these days.

    MeepMeep - sorry to hear that but the guys at appellation seem lovely in stockbridge. Fair doos though.

    I proposed in a very romantic way which involved almost no bikes (but which was somewhat scuppered from being anywhere romantic by the minstral that was blowing at the time). Anna had just run 18 miles so I figured it was a good time as any to spring it on her. SURPRISE. Seriously though, it was so romantic you'd likely explode.

    (I still went and rode an audax the next day to ensure I set the tone of the engagement)

    A tutored beer tasting sounds swell but I'll be seeing the Unthanks that night so no-can-do. Congratulations on the engagement.
