Looks like a really interesting route. Hope the weather's good (if that Edinburgh-Blyth stage goes over Redstone Rig - surely it must - at least there's unlikely to be snow for the pros like there was for us...)

@srd yes, I'd put a link up but it's painful with a phone

@ps if it's grim up top, they can always stop at the cafe in Gifford

The hill at Redstone would make good viewing

Might try and slope off for an hour for a look see.

I know organisers can't really change dates, but I must admit I tend to favour La Vuelta, the ToB has never really captured my interest as a result.

I'll definitely be going along to that. The ToB might be a low level race, but there's bound to be a few names in it.

The ToB is really growing on me now - it's developing a distinct character that celebrates the nature of British roads and how they can be raced, rather than trying to ape some of the continental races.

The smaller team sizes really helps as well - no one team can dominate the race, which makes it much more unpredictable.

Oh wow. I just told the 8yo who is totally excited. Planning to camp out at the start line. Just hope she's not disappointed.

Btw, I agree with PS's assessment above, not that I have years of watching other races to compare it to, but I think he captures exactly what makes the ToB fun to watch.

Wonder if we will resurface some roads to make them fit to cycle on!
