What. Last Friday of month, no PY? I can be there early 7.45 ish
Or I will take the very lovely braid hills road to my Gilmerton destination and avoid losing height?
CityCyclingEdinburgh was launched on the 27th of October 2009 as "an experiment".
IT’S TRUE!
CCE is 15years old!
Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.
RULES No personal insults. No swearing.

sounds good, but you'd probably want to be away before I am likely to get there.
What is the weather forecast like? If its not raining I'll cycle in early.
Early start today (for me). Will probably swing past a bit after 8 and see if anyone's there.
Swung by. Didn't see anyone who appeared to be 'us' so went for an early start at work. If anyone turns up and wants handlebar flyers give me a shout and I'll pop back.
Piffle, missed it again :-(
I went along at 7:50 but it being empty I also opted to get an early start at work..
Was there between about 8.20 and 8.40 - didn't spot anyone else. Very civilised way to tart the day though.
@Morningsider - I was about to Google "Swedish Tart" for the Swedish name, and then ask if that was what you enjoyed, before I realised what might be returned by such a seach...
Robert
It's not as handy for most people in the morning, but it is worth noting that the Haven café's lemonpopsycake was both larger, moister and tastier than PY's.
Gembo stood you all up? Perhaps he should buy all the cake next time. ;-)
I would happily take any excuse to go the Haven - but I would be eating a full cooked breakfast.
Opens at 8 on weekdays.
Roibeard - There's no way I could afford a Swedish tart at the prices PY charges!
(This is meant to be a joke - no misplaced outrage please)
shame, I never saw any responses before ditching computer last night to read Travelling Sprinkler by Nicholson Baker and watch Banished. It rips along. Still no aborigines but they will be showing up I hope.
On the plus, hugely fantastic cycle along Braid Hills Rd
