I'm plotting a jaunt home to Forfar via Kincardine Bridge, but the only road I can see that makes that part of the route without adding unreasonable miles is the A977.
What's it like to cycle?
CityCyclingEdinburgh was launched on the 27th of October 2009 as "an experiment".
IT’S TRUE!
CCE is 15years old!
Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.
RULES No personal insults. No swearing.

Old railway line Alloa to Dunfermline
Adds too many miles. It's a vurry nice path, though; Kappers and I used it to go and watch Wilmington's Cow do some CX.
Its not that bad a road to cycle.
When are you going Mr U?
That is one thing in its favour - setting off from Castle Uberuce at 6am tomorrow, so at a 14mph average ought to be on it at 9am and well past it by 10.30. Can't see it being much more than deserted at that time on Easter Sunday.
I'd have to give it the same damnation by faint praise that Richard did. Never hairy, but not much fun with the cars zooming past.
I couldn't tell if it was pretty or not because of the fog.
Wondered about the fog - looked thick when I looked out that way after reading your post yesterday.
