"Improvements planned as part of the scheme include funding designs for a new cycle route linking Leith Walk and the off-road network at Roseburn – providing residents with a safer path directly through the city centre."

"The extra funding will even be used to boost ambitious plans to transform West Crosscauseway, between Nicolson Street and Chapel Street, into a haven for cyclists and pedestrians – restoring the historic street in Edinburgh’s university quarter into a welcoming space for residents to walk, cycle and socialise in."

    Interesting...

Think we need some more details - not least - is this 'new money', is it being properly planned so it will be spent wisely and what's the timescale?

It may be new money but I presume things that we are already aware of - e.g. the roseburn - haymarket consultations, the Causey proposals etc.

Eg planned things, but which now have guaranteed funding? Maybe spokes will come along and let us know what they have seen?

Simply head to the Sustrans Scotland web site, where a summary of £20 million worth of funded projects is presented:

    https://sustranscommunitylinks.wordpress.com/2015/04/24/sustrans-to-distribute-over-20-million-in-community-links-funding-in-201516/

"More information on the projects entering their second year of funding can be found on the Community Links Project pages, with information on the projects successful in the latest round of applications to be posted in the coming weeks."
