Alas I am out that night. I like what they have done there. The off licence next door still being supported by the bike shop. When it was the bike chain, Mark took many of their deliveries as they did not get up early. The marshmallow lady two doors up. So they are keeping it local. If they keep Brompton at canonmills that might mean they do not detract too much from biketrax?

Brompton have been very successful at 'protecting' their dealer network. When Evans first opened in Edinburgh they had a Brompton in the window, but were only offering 'to order' rather than having a selection in the shop.

I don't think EBC's Whitehouse Loan shop has stocked them even though other branches have Brompton dealerships - and also available by mail order.

Brompton has been looking for another shop to sell their bikes for a while as they believe that Edinburgh is big enough to have two outlets for their brand.

This seems like a good choice as EBC will not need to keep trying to get a dealership for their main shop and - as 'we' all know - Edinburgh has a strict divide of bicycling buying/use north and south of Princes Street!

When is this? There's no date on the page.

Edit: Friday 29th May @ 6.30. This was on the desktop site but not the mobile version.

I believe a similar arrangement exists (or at least existed) for Edinburgh Bicycle in selling only standard models, because Biketrax is the 'B-spoke' dealer.
