The SEStran Two Capitals Cycle Ride is a non-competitive, all-age, all-abilities event that aims to promote cycling for all.

This annual event which was first run in 2006 is rapidly becoming one of the biggest events of its kind in South East Scotland.

Preparation tips sounds patronising. My emphasis:

Traffic – Remember that most of the route will remain open to traffic. Obey the rules of the road at all times. If possible, brush up on the highway code before the event.

Organisers the South East of Scotland Transport Partnership (SEStran), in partnership with radio station Kingdom FM, have been keen to stress that the event is “a non-competitive, family friendly ride” and you don’t need to look good in Lycra or own an expensive bike to take part.

I'm going to give this one a go on Sunday - mostly to break my duck on cycling over the FRB :)

    Both directions?

I'll cite family obligations for my excuse to only go one-way :)
