This is (a part of) Edinburgh that normally stays behind closed doors...

Investigate the 3 councillors' conduct by all means, it will be interesting to see where it goes if anywhere, but anyone even slightly familiar with the Cameron House farrago must feel the council officials named deserve heavy scrutiny themselves...

im not clear what could be achieved by this complaint?

The EEN article states that a previous manager of cameron house during the disastrous works and current head of school improvemnt/reform feels that being named in a council meeting is libellous - yet i dont understand how this could be argued; defamation requires a statement to lower the opinion of one person in the eyes of a standard member of the public.
Telling the truth is an absolute defence against defamation, so unless this guy had nothing to do with the cameron house refurb then the councillor who named him has no case to answer.

And of course the senior council official who reported the 3 councillors has retired in the meantime...

A bit more trickles out -

    "

CITY council staff with connections to a whistleblower were bombarded with pornography as part of a ten-year campaign of intimidation and harassment, according to complaints made to an internal local authority investigation.

I know the background to some of this, and it reflects very badly on CEC.

COUNCIL officials at the centre of a scandal over a botched building project look set to escape disciplinary action because they told investigators they “couldn’t remember” what they had done.

POLICE are to be called in to probe allegations of fraud at an arms-length council company and the “despicable” harassment of the whistleblower who raised the concerns
