Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.

Eight new shops will be created fronting on to Leith Street, including two large underground units recently added to plans. Mr Perry said: “One side of this street was destroyed in the 1970s when the St James Centre was built. We’re trying to rebuild the street, and put as many frontages and as much activity on to it so it actually has life and functions.”
If that's not a clear reason to redesign Leith Street from its current bleak urban dual carriageway atmosphere to a people-friendly wide pavement and segregated cycle lane space then I don't know what is.
It seems they've quietly changed the ribbon / chocolate orange hotel from copper sheath to stainless steel.
Also, limestone cladding? And here was me thinking sandstone was more traditional.
"Also, limestone cladding? And here was me thinking sandstone was more traditional."
You've evidently not been in a fashionable bathroom recently. Limestone has been traditional in fashionable bathrooms for almost a decade, so maybe someone thought it would be good at coping with getting rained on. Maybe extensive testing has shown it to be less susceptible to unsightly weathering than sandstone.
Were they put off by the potential for verdigris or the resale value of scrap copper, which might have resulted in the ground-level tail of the unpeeling being sawn off one night?
