Saw a new one today: what looked like an ordinary Ortlieb pannier but with "Dad" written on it in large friendly letters.
Possibly trying the strategy of "humanising" in order to discourage bad driving?

I saw the POLITE high viz vest for the first time yesterday.

Unfortunately some people take absolutely no notice of it...
1-2% of overtakes came within 50 cm no matter what outfit was worn.
It will give significantly more passing space than other options, though, which might add comfort if not absolute safety.
