    We went last year to watch the home-made boat race, but the start time was repeatedly put back and then the thing was quietly cancelled. (Not enough entrants?) We played a game of spot-the-yes-and-no-badges instead.

    I was on the Spokes stall. Busy, lots of fun, very jolly event. Only haranguing from anti-cyclist was a lady who said that a cyclist had threatened to throw her into the canal!

    Weather quite good, breaking the pattern of this fairly crappy summer. Our Meadows Saturday was cancelled because of the gales.
