Maybe he should take a look at the other similar facilities around the city. Errant dog owners are a problem of epidemic proportions in many public parks...

Most play parks have fences round them so at least when the errant animal's owners allow them to errantly foul they wont be sitting at the end of a slide.

Looking at the picture it appears this one might not.

Someone once dumped several handsful (though presumably used something else) of badly-tied split-open biological hazard bags into the bowl-shaped roundabout in the playpark just off the Restalrig Path/at the end of Pirniefield Bank. Turds on the paths are more frequent.

Speaking of biohazard bags, the bin on the NEPN by Broughton Tesco was overflowing with the things yesterday lunchtime. To the extent that the mansbestfriendlovers had dumped even more of their bags on the top of the bin and around its base. Is it really too much trouble to carry the bag a bit further to another bin or even take it home? Clearly it is.

It could have been worse. They could have tossed the bags into the bushes, there to dangle for weeks or months.

At least they are trying to do the right thing.

They'd do better of course not to keep a dog in the city at all. I find it cruel and unnatural, especially in tenement flats.
