  1. I think a new league has to be started for each event. I created the other one - it basically just gives you a league code that other people can then use to sign in.

    Need a new league.

I've set one up. The code is: 21104742

I would imagine that team selection will mainly be based on getting a full squad with the money left over after selecting both Froome and Quintana?

Picking people whose names have impinged upon my consciousness despite not actively following bicycle-racing combined with sound-of-name preferences worked for me last time.

Right - I've made a selection and added my team (HTC-Lowroad) to the new league. I did well last time - leading most of the way then pipped at the post by Wingpig - so I fully expect to crash and burn this time around. I deliberately didn't choose Froome or Quintana!

Joined. I probably have a very similar team to everyone else...

@wingpig - I've gone for the same technique. Like last time, decided against Froome, just for kicks.

I decided against Froome in the TdF and was nea rthe bottom until the last few days. Quintana saved my bacon. I will never forgive Nibali!

    All over it.

And not a single team sky in there. I'm relying on them all wiping out on the beach team time trial stage...

Also, I guffawed audibly at ScorchiEPO.

Hopefully my top scorer will make it past week 1 this time round.

I am absolutely devastated. I had Chavez in my team before doing some last minute tinkering. When I found out the result I was convinced I had left him in my team but it turns out I hadn't. I feel very silly now for doing the 'mini living room cele dance' when I googled the result.

Have you seen the video of Nibali's sticky bottle?

It's so funny seeing the group following behind him just sit up as if to say 'WTF' as he zooms off into the distance....

Luckily he's not in my team. Not that they're doing that well.

    Damn...

It would appear that a team built around Astana (hoping for some Nibali/Aru one-two action) may have been flawed.

    Guilty.

Roche and Rodriguez seem to be making up for Nibali at the moment hough.

Coverage will now have a Towing section every night analysing Bidon exchange. Lot of crashes. Chavez must be the happiest cyclist on the pro circuit.

  27. Never did get round to doing this, but have enjoyed watching the stages so far. Nibbler's tow was extravagant in the extreme - yes, there's a little sticky bottle action every day, but the way they accelerated him away from the pack was astonishing. I get the feeling the sticky bottles are usually more about just maintaining the current pace than a zoom of effort.

Also the claim it was only hanging on for 12 seconds is laughable when you see the gap that opened.

Nice to see SKY let a rider attack for once as well.

My domestiques are not performing as well as I'd hoped... Everyone else doing reasonably.!

I think Nibblers sticky bottle was different in that it wasn't about getting a fallen rider back to the pack.

Can't complain so far. Only one rider from my team has quit (cancellara) and only one other not performing (talansky).
