I'm intrigued as to where in Edinburgh you can get a 3 bedroomed house for £75k (as indicated in the story); and there's a very good 'literally' that makes me think there are loads of teeny little mini garages on the go.

They may have changed the wording but it now says, "The price - which would buy a three-bedroom house in many areas of Scotland" and "In the same city, £75,000 could buy you a two bedroom flat in Muirhouse".
If it were London the price would presumably be four times higher and it would be marketed as an "ideal family home" or something.
Ah, wording definitely changed - though as chdot has demonstrated, it can actually be done!
